Step 1 — What you need before you start
Three things:
- Your subscription details. These come in one of two forms — an Xtream Codes login (username, password and a server URL) or a single M3U link. Either works; Xtream Codes is easier to type on a remote.
- A stable connection. Around 15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps or more for 4K. Consistency matters more than peak speed — a steady 20 Mbps beats an erratic 200 Mbps.
- A compatible device. Practically anything: Smart TV, Firestick, Android TV, Apple TV, phone, tablet, Windows or Mac.
Step 2 — How to install IPTV on your device
The player is the app that turns your details into television. How you install it is the only part that really differs by device:
| Device | How you install | Typical players |
|---|---|---|
| Android TV | Google Play Store | TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, XCIPTV |
| Firestick / Fire TV | Sideload via Downloader | IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate |
| Samsung (Tizen) | Samsung app store | Smart IPTV, IBO Player |
| LG (webOS) | LG Content Store | Smart IPTV, IBO Player |
| Apple TV | App Store only | tvOS players supporting M3U or Xtream |
| Phone / tablet | Play Store or App Store | IPTV Smarters Pro |
| Windows / Mac | Direct download | Desktop players supporting M3U |

Step 3 — Enter your details
Open the player and look for Add playlist, Add user or similar wording. Then:
- For an Xtream Codes login — enter the username, the password and the server URL in their three separate fields. Keep
http://orhttps://exactly as given and do not add a trailing slash. - For an M3U link — paste the whole URL into the single playlist field.
Almost every failure at this stage is a typo: a missing character in the server address, a capital letter that should be lower case, or a space picked up at the end. If it will not connect, re-read the details character by character before assuming the service is down.
Step 4 — Let the guide load, then test
On first run the player downloads the channel list and the 7-day EPG. This is the slowest moment you will have with it, and it only happens once — an empty guide two minutes in is normal, not a fault.
Once it settles, test properly before you sit down for the evening: open a channel from each group you care about, try a 4K stream if you plan to use one, check that sport looks smooth, and confirm the guide shows programme names rather than blanks.
Common problems and what they usually mean
| Symptom | Most likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing loads at all | Typo in the details | Re-enter carefully, character by character |
| Channels load, then stutter | Network, not the service | Switch to Ethernet, or move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi |
| Guide is empty | EPG still downloading | Wait for the first load to finish |
| One channel fails, others fine | That source, not your setup | Try the HD or alternate entry, then tell us |
| Audio out of sync | Player buffer or TV processing | Restart the stream; disable TV motion processing |
| Works on phone, not on TV | The television's network | Test the TV's connection speed directly |
If you have worked through the relevant row and it still misbehaves, message us. We can check from our side whether the problem is your setup or ours, which saves you guessing.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up IPTV?
Install an IPTV player on your device, add a new playlist or user, enter your Xtream Codes login or M3U URL exactly as supplied, then let the channel list and EPG download fully before browsing.
How long does IPTV setup take?
Usually under ten minutes. The slowest parts are typing a long server URL with a remote control and waiting for the 7-day guide to download on first run.
What is the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes?
They are two ways of delivering the same subscription. An M3U link is a single URL you paste into one field. An Xtream Codes login is a username, password and server URL entered separately, which is easier to type on a remote and usually gives a better organised layout.
Why is my IPTV buffering?
Buffering is almost always the local network rather than the service. Try a wired Ethernet connection, move to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, and close background apps. If one channel alone misbehaves while others are fine, that is the source rather than your setup.
